Amazing Website Alert: Algorithmia allows you to colourise your old photos using AI

Some of these renders by Algorithmia were really wonderful, others were a bit wonky, but hey it’s alright for zero effort at all on my part. Here are the before and afters of some of my family’s black and white photos. Welcome to Starlink Express brought to you by Elon Musk!

It turns out that Wellington CBD and Mount Victoria close to where I live is prime viewing for the Tesla Starlink Satellites as they cruise through the sky after dark. Blink and you’ll miss it though. It’s all over in about 2 minutes. It’s like what Joy Division would have looked like if the band’s music was made into a film. This is also a unique British film because it’s aContinue reading “Film Review: Radio On”

Film Review: Ruben Brandt, Collector

* Contains no plot spoilers This is a fun, glamorous, art-heist caper in anime. If that makes sense. Directed by Slovenian Milorad Krstić, it features tiny love letters to his home country in the finer details of the film. And this is a film of beautifully rendered and amusing details. The animation is just awe-inspiringContinue reading “Film Review: Ruben Brandt, Collector”
