Cuba Dupa Wellington 2021

Each year at the end of March there is a street festival in Wellington. Cuba Dupa is always vibrant, vibrational and brings out the wild and vivacious side of the little city.

Even though I’m a total introvert, strangely enough I really like loud concerts and street festivals where I can dance and have a lot of fun. There was a great energy in the crowd for this Brazilian music and they originally started on a stage and then moved up Cuba street with the crowd dancing behind them. This was a truly magical moment and it made me dream of one day going to Carnivale.

The food from the street stalls was great and there were many vegetarian and vegan options.

Seeing the pipers in their kilts made me miss Scotland.

    1. Thank you Rob I’m so glad you enjoyed this, hey it looks like there is finally a bubble between AU and NZ so maybe you and your family can explore here sooner than you think. I am likewise hoping to go the other way over to your side of the ditch 🙂 Take care

  2. Oh awesome! I am so glad you Dad loved it and that you’re reading it. How are you finding it? Yes it’s an absolutely brilliant book. A real classic biography that takes you there. Alfred Lansig – Endurance…it’s now on my TBR list I look forward to hunting it down. Things are going well with us here, just doing the same thing you know. Oh and I started a new web project/online movement all about animals of the forest and how they are impacted by deforestation, particularly from palm oil. but also other commodities. I plan on covering all of the animals all over the world affected by deforestation0 all mammals, birds and reptiles anyway. I have done quite animals a few so far…but many more to go! Here is the WordPress website: https://palmoildetectives.com/
I started it two months ago and it has done well in a brief amount of time on Twitter, but I am hoping to grow it to have a following of over 100,000 people who will boycott supermarket brands destroying rainforests throughout the world.
