How to deal with bullies by Marcus Aurelius

anger Kindness woman psychologyOlivia Laing, The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone

“When another blames you or hates you, or people voice similar criticisms, go to their souls, penetrate inside and see what sort of people they are. You will realize that there is no need to be racked with anxiety that they should hold any particular opinion about you.” – Marcus Aurelius, Meditations.

  1. Absolutely perfect- as all reflections by MA. It is one of my staple reading diet requirement, which I reach for quite often.
In general opinions of others on us are immaterial (although they can cit very deeply indeed) – as long as we can honestly look at ourselves in the mirror- all is good. But honesty here is crucial. I own up to my f*ck ups… And there’s been a few of those lol…

    1. Cześć Googie thanks for reading! He is great MA he always provides timeless value in his insights and yeah only people who are able to look honestly at themselves can ever grow or become happier with themselves and with their lives. I so agree with owning up to ones own f* ups…a mistake is not a mistake if you learn and grow from it 😊🥰
