This picture was taken in October 83 displaying then-newly-built terminal for international flights. By the end of October, the terminal started to function in full. Whereas, in ’75 there used to be an old terminal was in service just a km away from here and it was a horrible and disorganized building that everyone wanted to forget about its existence, especially the horrendous charter terminal… Things used to run so tragic for Turkey in those times, particularly between 1970-1983… Just after the new terminal opened in 83, the old one got refurbished and took over the domestic flights.
